She is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community and is an advocate for social change, including within STEM fields, and is active in AVELA (A Vision for Engineering Literacy &amp; Access), a student of color UW student organization that serves underrepresented youth through STEM activities and workshops.<\/p>\n<p>Salley Fang is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Washington in the Informatics department with a focus on Data Science.\u00a0 She also currently serves as the Director of Data Science at the Prosecution Project (tPP), a research platform that tracks political violence data in the US.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CERSE is thrilled to welcome CERSE\u2019s newest team members, Marisa Johnson and Salley Fang, who joined the team in December 2023 and have been contributing greatly since.
