Co-Director, Sociobehavioral & Prevention Research Core
As the Co-Director of the SPRC, Dr. Golden will work with Dr. Morris to oversee the scientific direction of the SPRC. He will also coordinate the activities of the Cascade of HIV Care aim and lead university-public health department collaborative efforts.
Dr. Golden directs the Public Health – Seattle & King County HIV/STD Program and is a professor of medicine at the University of Washington. He has been actively engaged in research related to HIV/STD since the late 1990s, and has had continuous NIH funding since 2000. His research includes work related to HIV epidemiology; HIV testing; sexual risk behavior, particularly serosorting among men who have sex with men; HIV partner notification; and HIV treatment as prevention.
