Jennifer Slyker, MSc, PhD

Jennifer Slyker received her PhD in Immunology in 2007 from the Open University (Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine). She is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Health. Her research interests include virologic and immunologic studies of HIV/herpesvirus coinfections in infancy, and infant and breast milk T cell immunology. Her research is funded by an NIH K01 career development award and a CFAR HIV-associated malignancy award. She is also an Assistant Director of the UW Global Center for Integrated Health of Women, Adolescents and Children (Global WACh), a UW center focused on improving women/children/adolescent health via collaborative research, mentorship, and education.
