The University of Washington (UW) Tuberculosis Research and Training Center (TRTC) will hold its 3rd annual TB symposium, entitled “Ending the TB epidemic: taking insights from the population to the lab ”, on Friday May 18th, 2018 from 8am-5pm in Orin Smith Auditorium, South Lake Union campus. Dr. Amita Gupta from Johns Hopkins will be the keynote speaker. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all registrants. The symposium will also feature a TRTC Junior Investigator Award to recognize the efforts of early career scientists who have made significant contributions to the entire spectrum of TB research including epidemiology, clinical research, implementation science, host-pathogen biology, immunology, and vaccinology. This award will cover expenses related to travel up to $2,000 to the conference of the awardee’s choice, as well as an oral presentation at the UW TRTC Annual TB Symposium on May 18. All TRTC Junior Investigator Award applications must be submitted bynoon on Monday April 2, 2018.
