Holmes Endowed Professorship in STD and AIDS<\/strong>. Named after Dr. King Holmes, professor of medicine and global health, and founding chair of the Department of Global Health, this 3-year rotating award recognizes and supports a faculty member with exceptional commitment to STD\/HIV research and training.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s recipient is an associate professor of medicine (Allergy and Infectious Diseases) and adjunct associate professor of epidemiology. She serves as the Deputy Director for the Public Health &#8211; Seattle &amp; King County HIV\/STD Program and the Co-Director of the UW Public Health Capacity Building Center.\u00a0\u00a0 Her research on the HIV care continuum and patient engagement in HIV care has influenced public health practice in the U.S. and garnered national recognition.\u00a0 Her research interests also extend to important work on chlamydia in women and syphilis in men who have sex with men.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfas\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/roxbya.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1113 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfas\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/roxbya.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"103\" height=\"103\" srcset=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfas\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/roxbya.jpg 186w, https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfas\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/roxbya-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfas\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/roxbya-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 103px) 100vw, 103px\" \/><\/a>I also have the pleasure of announcing \u00a0that <strong>Alison Roxby, MD, MSc<\/strong>, Associate Professor of Global Health and Medicine, has been appointed the holder of the \u00a0<strong>Robert W. Anderson Endowed Chair<\/strong>.\u00a0 This professorship is made possible by the donation of Robert W.
