Dr. Singh has over 20 years of experience conducting original research on <em>P. aeruginosa<\/em>, chronic infections and CF. He also has extensive experience mentoring physician-scientists, and was awarded an NIH K24 grant support to spend 50% of his time in mentoring activities. Studies from Dr. Singh\u2019s lab led to human phase 1 (completed) and multi-center phase 2 (ongoing) trials of gallium as a novel antibiotic that disrupts bacterial iron metabolism. Dr. Singh is currently the Program Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Development Program (RDP) at the University of Washington and a Multi-PI of the NIH P30 Cystic Fibrosis Research Translation Center (CFRTC). Dr. Singh also serves as Director of the CFRTC Pilot and Feasibility Program.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_team_member][et_pb_team_member name=&#8221;Christopher H. Goss, MD MSc&#8221; position=&#8221;Professor, Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, Adjunct Professor, Pediatrics&#8221; image_url=&#8221;https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfrtc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Goss_Christopher-thumb.jpg&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Christopher Goss&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.2&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Multi PI\/Program Director and Core Director, CFRTC and Clinical Core<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Goss is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and an Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics. He will serve as the Co-Director of the Clinical Translational Core of the P30. He is the Director and Chief Medical Officer of the CFF funded Cystic Fibrosis Therapeutics Development Network, a clinical trials network composed of 77 research sites throughout the US, and has over 15 years of experience in clinical trials in CF. He received his MSc in Epidemiology from the University of Washington in 2000 and is an expert in clinical trial design and clinical trial outcome measures with an emphasis on patient reported outcomes. He has served as Chair of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Registry Committee for the last 10 years. Dr. Dandekar is an adult Cystic Fibrosis physician with over 10 years experience conducting original research focusing on quorum sensing in P. aeruginosa, as well as how the biology of quorum sensing might relate to chronic P. aeruginosa infections. He has mentored 8 undergraduates, 3 graduate students, 1 medical student, and 5 postdoctoral fellows and has received funding from NIGMS, the Burroughs-Wellcome Fund and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Dr. Dandekar will work closely with Dr. Singh to oversee the research training and pilot programs.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_team_member][et_pb_team_member name=&#8221;Margaret Rosenfeld, MD, MPH&#8221; position=&#8221;Professor, Pediatrics&#8221; image_url=&#8221;https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/cfrtc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/rosenfeld_2-e1619049792396.jpg&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Margaret Rosenfeld&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; background_size=&#8221;initial&#8221; background_position=&#8221;top_left&#8221; background_repeat=&#8221;repeat&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Director, Enrichment and Training Program, CFRTC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rosenfeld is Professor of Pediatrics\/Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children\u2019s Hospital. She has extensive expertise in the design and conduct of clinical trials in young children with cystic fibrosis. Dr. Rosenfeld served on the P30 Clinical Core during the first grant cycle where she was involved in novel outcome measure development with particular focus on young children. For the next cycle, she will focus on the enrichment and training program. She has a long history of excellence in teaching and mentoring. She leads the Department of Pediatrics Fellowship College where she organizes multiple events including Fellows Annual Research Day. She leads the Clinical Research Scholars Program (CRSP) for the Seattle Children\u2019s Research Institute and she is one of the leaders of the Education Core for the Institute of Translational Health Science for the University of Washington. She received the 2013 Outstanding Mentoring Award from the Department of Pediatrics for her commitment to supporting junior faculty.
