{"id":2364,"date":"2020-11-03T11:58:16","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T19:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/?p=2364"},"modified":"2020-11-03T11:58:16","modified_gmt":"2020-11-03T19:58:16","slug":"update-av300-probe-tuning-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/2020\/11\/update-av300-probe-tuning-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATE  &#8211; AV300 &#8211; PROBE TUNING ISSUES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There has been repeated reported reports, albeit only from a subset of users, that the ATMA probe tuning\/matching is taking very long.\u00a0\u00a0 I want to first assure you that we are already working on possible ways to resolve this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recap :\u00a0 <\/strong>Historically all NMR probes were tuned\/matched by hand and this is an <strong>important and necessary <\/strong>skill set that was expected of any NMR user, even today.\u00a0 Even now, we have at least two of the four instruments in NMR lab that have probes that need be tuned\/matched by hand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Looking Ahead :\u00a0 <\/strong>The ATMA computerized motor system has taken the drudgery out of tuning\/matching by hand.
