{"id":2867,"date":"2023-04-26T09:58:03","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T16:58:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/?p=2867"},"modified":"2023-04-26T09:58:03","modified_gmt":"2023-04-26T16:58:03","slug":"reminder-2-gg500-software-interface-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/2023\/04\/reminder-2-gg500-software-interface-poll\/","title":{"rendered":"REMINDER (2) : GG500 &#8211; SOFTWARE INTERFACE POLL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Users<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who missed some action on what this title implies, here is a quick <a href=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/2023\/04\/reminder-gg500-software-snap-poll-and-imminent-probe-upgrade\/\">link to bring you up to speed.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We have a brand new BBFO fully automated probe (i.e. automatic tuning\/matching, locking\/shimming)\u00a0 that is ready to replace the aging TXO-1H-19F probe that is coupled to the GG500 console.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to switching the system to this probe, I wanted to find out if you will prefer :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Traditional Topspin Interface<\/li>\n<li>Routine Spectroscopy interface that is currently driving the GG500<\/li>\n<li>Full Automation suite, very similar to what is driving NEO500<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>with the new probehead.<\/p>\n<h2>This is basically a two question survey :<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Which of the above three you prefer<\/li>\n<li>a sentence or two about your motivation for the choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Send a mail to rajanp@uw.edu<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>SO FAR :<\/h2>\n<p>There has been <strong>fifteen<\/strong> responses so far in a period of two weeks.\u00a0 I see that there were at least <strong>sixty unique<\/strong> individuals who have accessed the GG500 in the past <strong>two months alone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We cannot keep this process open-ended and deny ourselves the advantages of a new hardware.\u00a0 So, if you want your voice to be heard, now is the time.\u00a0 <strong>Unless there is some vociferous (and reasonable) objection, we will close this poll by the end of this week.\u00a0 <\/strong>Come Monday, we will start preparing the transition to the new probe.<\/p>\n<p>Please send a note to me or Adrienne if you have specific concerns.<\/p>\n<h2>NMR Facility Manager<\/h2>\n<p>4\/26\/2023<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Users For those of you who missed some action on what this title implies, here is a quick link to bring you up to speed.
