{"id":2896,"date":"2023-05-18T15:42:12","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T22:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/?p=2896"},"modified":"2023-05-18T15:42:12","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T22:42:12","slug":"neo500-reminder-peaceful-coexistence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/2023\/05\/neo500-reminder-peaceful-coexistence\/","title":{"rendered":"NEO500 &#8211; REMINDER &#8211; PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE !"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear NEO500 users<\/p>\n<p>Owing to the true &#8216;walk-on&#8217;\u00a0 nature of the NEO500 SYSTEM, we may not be compelled to access the NMR Reservation Page for this instrument.\u00a0 \u00a0I wanted to send you this gentle reminder in connection with the same.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please note that, you have a near live view of the NEO500 automation queue, which is spruced up and colorful and more informative than before (<strong> <em>many t<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>hanks to Nick Breen<\/em><\/strong>).\u00a0 Here is a <a href=\"https:\/\/thermometer.chem.washington.edu\/cgi-bin\/iconqueue\">quick link<\/a> and you can also access this from the NEO500 instrument <a href=\"https:\/\/chem.washington.edu\/instruments\/neo-500\">page here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>NEO500\u00a0<strong>DOES have a reservation page.\u00a0<\/strong> It is used to block time for routine maintenance as well as to attend issues that you might raise through Log Book entries.<\/li>\n<li>So, before you come down with your samples\n<ul>\n<li>please take a look at the queue status.\u00a0 If it&#8217;s idle or running, all is well.\u00a0 If it says<strong> &#8216;queue stopped&#8217;, most probably something is going on at the instrument.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If a maintenance event stopped the queue, you can confirm that by looking at the NEO500 reservation page.<\/li>\n<li><b>PLEASE NOTE :\u00a0 Even if a facility <\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>staff initiates<\/b><\/span><b> a pause of the queue, the system will stop the run only after the current acquisition is complete.
