GG500 &#8211; READY FOR RESERVATION AND USE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear NMR community<\/p>\n<p>GG500 instrument is ready for use again.\u00a0\u00a0 Please note the following :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Topshim is working nominally.\u00a0 For deuterium based lock solvents, <em>which means the majority of them,<\/em>\u00a0 the shimming happens along the Z-axis only <strong>(known fact and a feature of the spectrometer hardware)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You can start Topshim after loading the default starting shim set by entering the following on the Topspin command line : <em><strong>rsh iProbe <\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>It is imperative that you touch up at least the <strong>X and Y<\/strong> shims to get dramatic improvement in resolution.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Barring the class of J-Young tubes,\u00a0 <\/strong>we advise you to spin all your samples to get the best possible resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Your respective datafiles will be slowly populated as we transfer them from the old system starting today.<\/li>\n<li>The files are available for download via the <a href=\"ftp:\/\/phoenix.chem.washington.edu\">FTP:\/\/phoenix.chem.washington.edu<\/a> site, as before.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please let us know of any issues you encounter and we will try to resolve it immediately.<\/p>\n<p>thank you for your patience and understanding.<\/p>\n<h2>NMR Services Manager<\/h2>\n<p>4\/4\/2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear NMR community GG500 instrument is ready for use again.\u00a0\u00a0 Please note the following : Topshim is working nominally.\u00a0 For deuterium based lock solvents, which means the majority of them,\u00a0 the shimming happens along the Z-axis only (known fact and a feature of the spectrometer hardware).
