{"id":3312,"date":"2025-04-03T17:05:53","date_gmt":"2025-04-04T00:05:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/?p=3312"},"modified":"2025-04-03T17:05:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-04T00:05:53","slug":"update-neo500-and-gg500-please-read","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/2025\/04\/update-neo500-and-gg500-please-read\/","title":{"rendered":"UPDATE &#8211; NEO500 and GG500 &#8211; PLEASE READ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Users<\/p>\n<p>Starting tomorrow morning, we will implement a two step process to get both the 500 NMR-s to get to <em>full productivity mode<\/em> (defined with caveat, under the circumstances).<\/p>\n<h2>probeheads :<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Prodigy cryoprobe will be uninstalled and packed for shipping<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><em>iProbe\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>that is currently serving <strong>GG500<\/strong> will be placed in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NEO500<\/span> magnet<\/li>\n<li>The triple resonance probe <strong>TBI-1H{X,13C}-Z gradient<\/strong> probe will be installed in <strong>GG500.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>This probe can observe, 1H, 13C and X-range nuclei, independently<\/li>\n<li>This probe does <strong>not\u00a0<\/strong>have\u00a0<strong>19F capability<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Both these systems will then be optimized and prepared for routine use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>usage calendar :<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The GG500 will switch to <strong>full interactive operation mode.\u00a0<\/strong>The Automation process will be suspended on this instrument until the Prodigy probe is serviced and returned.<\/li>\n<li>The NEO500 wil <strong>continue operation using the IconNMR Automation suite.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>points to keep in mind :<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The TBI probe is <strong>NOT an ATMA capable probehead.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>This means that, we have to get used to tuning\/matching all the channels used : <strong>1H, 13C and X<\/strong> nuclei.<\/li>\n<li>TBI probe <strong>has Z-gradient capability.
