We are announcing two new NMR Facility initiatives to improve communications with NMR Facility users.<\/p>\n
First, there is now an on-line Manager\u2019s bulletin-board where information about the status of the facility is posted.\u00a0 The facility managers will henceforth use this bulletin board to disseminate information about instrument status (failures, repairs), probe changes, changes in facility policy, etc. \u00a0Facility users may view the messages posted here by any of three different methods:<\/p>\n
1) The contents of the bulletin board can be viewed at: https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/<\/a><\/p>\n 2) Users can receive all posted messages via an RSS feed by subscribing at: http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/chemwp\/chemwpnmr\/facility-announcements\/feed\/<\/a><\/p>\n 3) Users can receive all posted messages as email by subscribing to the \u201cChemistryNMR\u201d UW Mailman mailing list at: Second, there is now an on-line log book for each instrument in the facility.\u00a0 The spectrometer host computer provides a web browser that\u00a0 directly points to the applicable log book.\u00a0 All facility users may post entries to the log books and view their contents.\u00a0 All posted entries are automatically emailed to the facility managers.\u00a0 All the log books can also be accessed at: Users are encouraged to post an entry to the appropriate instrument log book whenever they encounter a technical problem with one of the facility instruments.<\/p>\n We have pre-subscribed all current NMR facility liaisons to the \u201cChemistryNMR\u201d mailing list so they will automatically receive an email whenever a message is posted to the NMR Facility manager\u2019s bulletin board.\u00a0 This message is the inaugural post to the bulletin board.\u00a0 Please pass on this message to members of your group and encourage them to subscribe to the mailing list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We are announcing two new NMR Facility initiatives to improve communications with NMR Facility users.
