The shim set that gave good lineshape last week gives a poor lineshape today.\u00a0 This is indicative that the insert quartz tube is broken once again.\u00a0 If this turns out to be the case, we will replace the same asap and return the instrument to regular use.\u00a0 Please remember that this repeated insert breakage does not pertain to a particular probehead.\u00a0 The cause is still being investigated.\u00a0 Until that is discovered, we may anticipate the same type of failure in the coming weeks again.\u00a0 A follow up note will be posted once the instrument is up again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The AV301 instrument is not available for immediate use owing to the following.
