Cruise Description

The 1991 CRETM-LMER research cruise was a 28 day trip that took place in the summer, the high-flow period for the Columbia River.


Vessels

Sedimentological, geochemical, microbial and ecological investigations were based from aboard the R/V Robert Gordon Sproul, a research vessel from Scripps Oceanographic Institute in San Diego, CA.

Geophysical investigations in 1991 were conducted from the R/V Clifford Barnes, a research vessel from the University of Washington's School of Oceanography in Seattle, WA.

Letter Code: U upstream; D downstream; N neap tide; S spring tide
First Digit: Tidal Series
Second Digit: Sequence in Tidal Series

Example: U11 refers to the first sequence in the first upstream tidal series.
