1996
Cruise Description The 1996 CRETM research cruise took place
in the summer, the period of decreasing high to low flow in the
Columbia. This trip included intertidal sampling in Cathlmet
Bay, in the North Channel of the river, as well as in Young's
Bay. In addition to the intetidal sampling, a twelve hour upriver
series was conducted, as well as a thirty hour neap seriesat
Buoy 39. A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) was used on this trip
for high resolution sampling of the ETM. |

The R/V Robert Gordon Sproul, from Scripps Oceanographic Institute in San Diego, CA, was utilized for sedimentological, geochemical, microbial and ecological investigations. Geophysical investigations in were conducted
from the R/V

a research vessel from the University
of Washington's School of Oceanography in Seattle, WA. |
