Primary production

Larry Small  
  Lawrence F. (Larry) Small is a professor in the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University. In addition to his research and teaching resonsibilities, he served for ten years as Associate Dean of the College, and for three years as Dean. Dr. Small's research interests include factors controlling primary and secondary production in estuarine, coastal and open-ocean environments, energy and element transfer in food webs, and the role of primary and secondary trophic levels in the global
flux of carbon and trace elements. His research has been conducted mainly in the North Pacific and Mediterranean Sea, and in many bordering countries including Canada, Mexico, France, Monaco, Italy and the former Yugoslavia.
