Ty W. Lostutter, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and serves as the Assistant Director of the Psychology Internship Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UW and has been a member of the faculty since 2009. Dr. Lostutter has broad research and clinical interests focus on etiology, prevention and treatment of addictive behaviors and mental health. He has conducted research in the areas of college student drinking prevention; gambling prevention; alcohol and HIV prevention among youth in Vietnam; and alcohol use, academic performance and mental health among college student veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq. He also work with non-profit organizations dedicated to addressing the issues of problem gambling by serving at the Vice-President of Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling and as Board Member of the National Council on Problem Gambling.
