This is our Spring 2019 CSSCR announcement\/newsletter. Below
\nyou will find our listing of workshops for the quarter and some new data

\nregistration is open and free to anyone in the UW community. Please let your

\nhelp references, and how to begin a basic analysis. This class is ideal for

\nThis course provides a brief, practical introduction to working in ATLAS.ti,
\ncovering basic terminology and functionality of the program. This will include
\nimporting text documents, coding and annotating documents, and exploring
\nrelationships through analysis and query tools. Time permitting, we may also
\nbriefly discuss best practices for data management. The course assumes no prior
\nuse of Atlas-ti.<\/p>\n

ICPSR Summer Program and Workshop announcements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

ICPSR Summer Program:  <\/strong>Founded in 1963, the ICPSR Summer Program offers rigorous,
\nhands-on training in statistics, quantitative methods, and data analysis for
\nstudents and researchers of all skill levels and backgrounds. Participants in
\nthe ICPSR Summer Program learn how to understand data and gain valuable
\nresearch skills that help them to advance their education and careers. <\/p>\n

From May through August
\n2019, the ICPSR Summer Program will offer more than 80 courses in Ann Arbor,
\nMichigan and other cities around the world. Registration is now open for all
\ncourses.<\/p>\n

PSID Data User Training Workshop:  <\/strong>The ICPSR Summer Program would like to announce the following
\nworkshop, sponsored by the Panel Study of Income Dynamics:<\/p>\n

June 10-14, 2019,
\nUniversity of Michigan, Ann Arbor<\/p>\n

This five-day workshop
\nwill orient participants to the content and structure of the Panel Study of
\nIncome Dynamics, its special topics modules, and the PSID Child Development
\nSupplement and PSID Transition into Adulthood Supplement. The workshop pairs
\nmorning instructional sessions led by experienced PSID researchers and staff
\nwith afternoon guided lab sessions in which users construct their own analytic
\ndata files. <\/p>\n

The workshop is open to
\npredoctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, college and university faculty, and
\nprofessional researchers. Admitted predoctoral students and postdoctoral
\nfellows may request to be considered for a stipend to help with travel and
\nhousing costs. All applications received by April 12 will be given priority for
\nenrollment. <\/p>\n
