RE/SOURCE

Our food system has become increasingly designed. Although it is still possible to buy direct from farmers, the majority of consumers only interact with the food system through grocery stores. RE/SOURCE uses supply chains to visualize the differences between chicken farms, the methodology behind harvesting seafood, feed differences when finishing beef, the extent of genetically modified grains, and the origination of fruits and vegetables. By exposing the unknowns that crop up during production, RE/SOURCE reveals what occurs when creating market-ready food. Additionally, this information will assist consumers in navigating the plethora of symbols and logos that saturate grocery store shelves in order to make informed decisions about their food.
