width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/style>\n<\/p>\n<section class=\"kc-elm kc-css-882502 kc_row\">\n<div class=\"kc-row-container kc-container\">\n<div class=\"kc-wrap-columns\">\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-285293 kc_col-sm-12 kc_column kc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"kc-col-container\">\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-799857 kc-title-wrap \">\n<h1 class=\"kc_title\">2020 Pilot and Feasibility Application Form<\/h1>\n<h2>General Application Instructions<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-534901 kc_text_block\">\n<p>The application is an abbreviated version of the standard NIH application.\u00a0 Please abide by the page limitations.\u00a0 The application will be reviewed as a pilot proposal and need not be as detailed as a full R01 grant application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The application must be a PDF file and formatted using either Helvetica or Arial fonts <u>no smaller than 11 point and margins must be no smaller than 0.5 inches<\/u>.\u00a0 Applications that do not conform to these requirements will not be reviewed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:\u00a0 DRC uses the &#8220;Just in Time\" method for all approvals.\u00a0 IRB and IACUC approvals are not required at the time of application submission.\u00a0 Before any funding can be distributed, verification must be provided to the DRC as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the proposed research involves human subjects, IRB approval memo is required before funds will be released.\u00a0 Note: The DRC is NIH funded, award number P30 DK017047.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>If the research involves vertebrate animals, please provide IACUC approval signature and protocol information on the application cover page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Department Chair or Division Head&#039;s signature must be obtained before the application can be considered complete.\u00a0 Electronic signatures are acceptable.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u>This is an internal application. \u00a0As such, DO NOT complete the eGC-1 process or send the application to the UW Office of Sponsored Programs.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You must submit a budget for up to two years, for a maximum of $50,000 annually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The application deadline is February 24, 2020<\/strong>, with awards beginning July\u00a01,\u00a02020.\u00a0 If you have any questions, please contact the DRC Program Operations Specialist (Celia Chor;
