of the American Medical Association<\/a>\u00a0found that people who took popular GLP-1 drugs for weight loss, particularly Novo Nordisk&#8217;s Ozempic, or semaglutide, and Victoza, or liraglutide, were more likely to suffer from pancreatitis, stomach paralysis and bowel obstruction than those who took another kind of weight-loss drug called Contrave, or bupropion-naltrexone. &#8220;Although the incidence of these adverse events are relatively rare, affecting only about 1% of patients, with millions taking these medications, thousands of people are likely to be affected by these adverse
