It is typically well tolerated by a wide variety of patients. The most common side effects of doxycycline are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nausea<\/li>\n<li>Diarrhea<\/li>\n<li>Rash<\/li>\n<li>Skin sensitivity to the sun<\/li>\n<li>Esophageal irritation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This study will evaluate whether doxycycline is safe and well tolerated when used as an STI prophylaxis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"js-accordion__panel\" >\n<h2 class=\"js-accordion__header\">Where is the study taking place?<\/h2>\n<p>There are\u00a0 two sites in San Francisco, the \u201cWard 86\u201d HIV clinic and the San Francisco City Clinic.\u00a0 There are also two sites in Seattle, the Madison HIV Clinic at HMC, and the SKC STD Clinic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"js-accordion__panel\" >\n<h2 class=\"js-accordion__header\">Who are the principal investigators?<\/h2>\n<p>Connie Celum and Annie Luetkemeyer are the co-principal investigators on this study.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"js-accordion__panel\" >\n<h2 class=\"js-accordion__header\">Who would be a good fit for this study?<\/h2>\n<p>This study is looking for MSM and TGW who are taking HIV PREP or living with HIV.
