Jeffrey is a co-mentored Ph.D. student in the Regnier and Mack labs interested in using gene therapy to synthesize new biological and engineering innovations to help patients struggling with cardiac disease. His work focuses on utilizing dATP as a therapeutic option to recover lost cardiac function in dilated cardiomyopathy in-vitro cell and tissue models. Jeffrey is motivated to expand on his molecular, cellular, and developmental biology background and be at the nexus of bioengineering and regenerative medicine research.
