Community Health Advancement Program (CHAP)

Community Health Advancement Program (CHAP) Mission Statement
The Community Health Advancement Program (CHAP) began at the University of Washington in 1980 as an organization created to nurture the ideas and goals of health care students interested in working with medically underserved populations.

CHAP sponsors leadership training workshops and seminars for students in the Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) at UW.

Join us for our next interactive workshop for medical students: Health Advocacy: Strategic Action and Empowerment with Family physician and current Doctors for America Copello health advocacy fellow Dr. Jennifer Jones-Vanderleest, MD, MSPH next month!

Date: Monday, March 11, 2024

Please email the CHAP Program Manager at alisse@uw.edu if you’d like details and to sign up! Workshop made possible by generous funding from the Washington Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP). Thank you!
