Bringing primary care into the 21st Century
The PCI-Lab is an interdisciplinary collection of faculty who bring together the knowledge, skills and ability to work collaboratively with health organizations and industry partners (though grants and contracts) at multiple stages of the innovation cycle. The projects we pursue include needs assessment and workflow analysis, system design, implementation process and adoption, in context and usability testing, as well as scaling pilots and projects up to sustainable systems.
Training & Education
PCI-Lab experts are involved in several areas of teaching and scholarship around new technologies related to primary care. We have taught in graduate courses in the School of Public Health as well as undergraduate courses in collaboration with the School of Engineering and The Foster School of Business at UW. Internationally we have participated in technology innovation courses and workshops in several countries.
