Marc A. Hawkins, MPAS, PA-C
Marc Hawkins is a Physician Assistant and Lecturer at the MEDEX NW Physician Assistant (PA) Program, Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington. Marc was an Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Coast Guard prior to attending and graduating from the MEDEX NW PA Program in 1980. Upon graduation from MEDEX, Marc returned to active duty in the Coast Guard with enumerable clinical assignments including world-wide deployments aboard ships such as the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle and several Ice Breakers into the Arctic and Antarctic regions. Marc also served as faculty at the Interservice PA Program and as the senior Coast Guard PA in a variety of management and command positions until retiring from the Coast Guard with 38 years of military service in 2013.
In October 2013 Marc joined the faculty at MEDEX NW as a Clinical Coordinator in Spokane and now serves in Seattle as the MEDEX Director of Clinical Affairs providing policy development and oversight of clinical training for PA students throughout the WWAMI area.
