The Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Diagnostic & Prevention Network (FASDPN) is comprised of a network of community-owned clinics throughout WA State trained by the core clinical / research / training clinic (FASDPN) at the University of Washington in Seattle. The FASDPN was established in 1995 through WA Senate Bill 5688. Over the decades, Network clinics have been located in Yakima, Spokane, Pullman, Everett, Tacoma and Federal Way as funding permitted. As of 2024, the core clinic at the University of Washington in Seattle is the only FASDPN clinic open. Diagnostic and intervention services are slated to expand statewide once again with the passage of House Bill 1168 in 2023. The clinic is staffed by an interdisciplinary team (pediatrician, psychologist, speech/language pathologist, occupational therapist and public health professional). All teams use the (2024) FASD 4-Digit Diagnostic Code to diagnose the full spectrum of outcomes associated with prenatal alcohol exposure.
Instructions for how to request a FASD Diagnostic evaluation are posted here. The contact information for the University of Washington FASDPN clinic is presented below.
