Movie#358. 2.75 hour Zebrafish embryo.
Same embryo as in the previous 16-cell stage movie--later in blastoderm development. The movie shows dynamics in a perisagital section of the embryo.
The sequence shows blastomeres dividing asynchronously. The surface cells begin to take on epithelial characteristics. A distinct yolk syncytial layer emerges. At each prophase, rapid movements of yolk platelets occur within the yolk syncytial layer.
