Slower playback reveals the details of cell movement at the margin of the blastoderm. The animal pole is at the lower part of the image. On the left is the edge of the blastoderm.
As the blastoderm undergoes epiboly, the margin of the blastoderm undergoes involution. The majority of cells in the sequence are deep cells. Deep cell migration is involved in the formation of the hypoblast's inner layer.
