Research Interests

As a GenOM ALVA intern during the summer of 2016, Miracle worked in the Thummel Lab in the Department of Pharmaceutics under the mentorship of Brian and Alenka Chapron. Her research focused on looking at the regulation of megalin, a receptor protein that is vital to the metabolism of Vitamin D in the body. To analyze this she used real time-polymerase chain reaction as well as immunocytochemistry.

Miracle will continue working in the Thummel Lab and continuing research on megalin and other projects.
