Research Interests

As a Clean Energy ALVA intern during the summer of 2017 and part of the Ginger Lab, Edwin's project focusedĀ on ligand modification FAPbI3 and CsPbI3 perovskite nanocrystals. The nanocrystals worked with were specifically quantum dots and he focused on removing the native insulating ligands in favor or replacing them with more electrically active ligands in order to find application in photovoltaic devices.

Edwin plans on continuing to work in the Ginger lab to improve ligand exchange protocols. He also plans to gain a greater focus on biology based studies.
