Research Interests

As a Clean Energy ALVA intern during the summer of 2017 and part of the Yu Lab, Kevin's project involved trying to determine whether adding a saline layer between the zinc oxide electron transport layer and the perovskite layer prevents or slows down the deprotonation of methylammonium in the perovskite. After conducting our experiments, Kevin concluded that saline slows down the deprotonation, but only for some set-ups.

Kevin is considering research on the applications of biomimicry on built environments.
