Posted on July 2nd, 2013

From DOM Week:

Dr. Bruce Psaty, professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine) and epidemiology, has been designated as an American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Distinguished Scientist.

This is a prominent group of scientists and clinicians whose work has importantly advanced the understanding of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The award was created in 2003 to recognize AHA/ASA members for significant, original and sustained scientific contributions that have advanced the association’s mission. Dr. Psaty is only the sixth person to receive this honor from the Epidemiology Council.

“I am exceedingly impressed and proud,” said Dr. Stephan Fihn, head of the division of General Internal Medicine.
