No, but you may use the UW Medicine name in reference to an approved community partner event. (e.g., “the Dream Big Dinner in support of Alzheimer’s research at UW Medicine.”)
Please note: Before you print, use or distribute promotional materials, print products or media releases, you must receive approval of these materials and related details (i.e., location, wording, how long the item will be visible to the public) from UW Medicine Advancement. Use of UW Medicine’s name must be approved per event and may not be used on an ongoing basis thereafter, unless written permission is given. (Per University of Washington regulations, we are not permitted to share our logo with contributors.)
Local companies may agree to sponsor your event, donate goods or lend you their services for free. You may also use your own funds as start-up funding, then reimburse yourself from funds sent directly to you. Please keep accurate documentation of all expenses for your final reporting. UW Medicine will not cover the costs of your event.
