Naziat Carimo

Naziat Carimo is an MPH student in the Department of Global Health. At Global WACh, she is a practicum student trainee working on mastering data management skills in global academic research under the guidance of Dr. Sylvia LaCourse. Naziat holds a medical degree from Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique.

Before enrolling in graduate school, she worked as a clinician, medical chief, and hospital director at the Ministry of Health Mozambique-Cabo Delgado and Manica Provincial Health Directorate.  She is also experienced in implementing and managing HIV programs at ICAP-Columbia University and the Center for Collaboration in Health, two NGOs serving as CDC-PEPFAR implementation partners.  Naziat is passionate about the work she does around improving women and child health, especially those experiencing HIV infection in developing countries.
