6. Weighing Children and Adolescents: Quality
of Measurements
The weight is recorded on the chart. The individual is repositioned and
the weight measure is repeated.
The measures are compared; they should agree within 0.1 kg or 1/4 lb.
If the difference
between the measures exceeds the tolerance limit, the infant should be
repositioned and remeasured a third time. The average of the two measures
in closest agreement is recorded.
