And you are worth it! At the HaRRT Center, we have compiled and are scientifically testing the following safer-use strategies and general information for alcohol, stimulants, depressants, cannabis and nicotine. Here&#8217;s some real talk on safer nicotine use.<\/strong><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/harrtlab\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Smoking-and-harm-reduction-brochure.pdf\">Safer Use Nicotine<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always try to <strong style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium; font-style: normal;\">use around other people you trust<\/strong>. They can give you rescue breathing or naloxone if you need it.\u00a0<a style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal;\" href=\"http:\/\/stopoverdose.org\/section\/learn-about-overdose\/#whattodo\">http:\/\/stopoverdose.org\/section\/learn-about-overdose\/#whattodo<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Carry and be sure your friends <strong style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium; font-style: normal;\">carry the rescue drug, naloxone\u00a0<\/strong>(Narcan). You can get it from many pharmacies here in WA State as well as from scripts from your doctor or from needle and syringe exchanges. Here&#8217;s a list of ways to get it:\u00a0<a style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal;\" href=\"http:\/\/stopoverdose.org\/section\/find-naloxone-near-you\/\">http:\/\/stopoverdose.org\/section\/find-naloxone-near-you\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Test your dose before you use it<\/strong>\u00a0by getting urine testing strips for fentanyl or other substances and dipping the strip into the cooked dose. Ask about drug testing strips\u00a0here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.peoplesharmreductionalliance.org\/\">http:\/\/www.peoplesharmreductionalliance.org\/<\/a>, and buy them in bulk here: <a href=\"https:\/\/dancesafe.org\/shop\/\">https:\/\/dancesafe.org\/shop\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Test your dose by <strong style=\"font-family: sans-serif; font-size: medium; font-style: normal;\">shooting just a little tester first<\/strong> until you know if it&#8217;s your usual.
