Bricia Trejo is a Postdoctoral Scholar with the HIV team at the Institute for Health metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. Her work focuses on HIV incidence and service uptake among adolescent girls. She is also supporting the development of manuscripts related to HIV for the Global Burden of Disease (GBD).
Before joining IHME, Bricia earned her PhD in Epidemiology from Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health in Philadelphia. Her doctoral dissertation focused on gender inequality and gender-based violence in Latin American cities. Prior to her PhD, Bricia completed a master’s degree in Maternal and Child Health and Epidemiology from Boston University and spent five years working with the Ministry of Health in Honduras.
