She also serves at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the same university. Dr. Razo\u2019s research primarily focuses on women\u2019s health, nutrition, cardiometabolic risk factors and the epidemiology and burden of non-communicable diseases in Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from Mexico, Dr. Razo earned her doctoral degree in Population Nutrition Sciences from the School of Public Health of Mexico. She also holds a master\u2019s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Guadalajara and a bachelor\u2019s degree in nutrition from the University of Guanajuato. Following her PhD, Dr. Razo undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at IHME, where she worked primarily on the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors (GBD) Study. Her postdoctoral research involved developing innovative methodologies for analyzing complex data on cardiovascular diseases, cardiometabolic risk factors and exploring areas such as gynecological diseases and anemia.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining IHME, Dr. Razo worked as a research scientist at the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico.
