Call for Applications: UWAA Multicultural Alumni Partnership Scholarships

The University of Washington Alumni Association (UWAA) Multicultural Alumni Partnership (MAP) awards scholarships to deserving University of Washington students who need financial assistance to assist with their progress toward a degree at the UW. Funding for these scholarships comes from contribution from UW alumni and friends as well as proceeds from the Bridging the Gap Breakfast held annually on Homecoming Saturday.

Call for Applications: Research Grants from Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies (Due: June 16, 2014)

The Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies seeks proposals from University of Washington graduate students for grants of $1,500-$2,500, for research about work, workers, and their organizations.

Research may focus on any dimension of labor in the United States or abroad, including but not limited to class relations, the social conditions of work, the labor process, working-class culture or politics, work and gender, work and race/ethnicity, the relationship between labor and the state, unions, or comparative international labor relations.

Call for Applications: Research Travel Grants -- Center for the Study of the Pacific Northwest (due May 2)

The Center for the Study of the Pacific Northwest (CSPN) invites applications from UW faculty and graduate students for research travel grants to support scholarly projects related to the history and culture of the Pacific Northwest. The maximum grant will be $1,500; we anticipate making two to four awards, depending on funding. Priority is given to Ph.D. dissertation and book monograph projects.
