Exhibit Opening Reception and Film Screening: SPEEA History Exhibit and Brothers on the Line

4:30pm film screening, 6:00pm reception. South Seattle College, Georgetown Campus, 6737 Corson Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98108. Free.

The Washington State Labor Education and Research Center, Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies and the Labor Archives at the University of Washington have partnered to bring ongoing history exhibits on work, workers, and their organizations to the Georgetown Campus of South Seattle College.

SPEEA generously donated the funds for the Labor Center to purchase a display case, and SPEEA is the focus of the first exhibition. A special reception marking the opening of the exhibit will begin at 6:00pm. Enjoy a wine & cheese reception, and hear from exhibition curator Amanda Stone.

Earlier, at 4:30pm, enjoy the new documentary Brothers on the Line, the story of the extraordinary journey of the Reuther brothers - Walter, Roy, and Victor - organizers who led manufacturing workers in and around Detroit in the formation of the United Auto Workers Union. Learn more about this award-winning documentary at http://www.brothersontheline.com/.
