Past Tense: Graduate Review of History is a peer-reviewed online journal edited by the University of Toronto's Graduate History Society. It provides an opportunity for emerging scholars to gain experience with peer-reviewed academic publishing. Past Tense welcomes submissions on topics concerning a broad range of time periods and
geographies. The journal publishes original research articles and critical commentaries about issues in the field of history. Book reviews of monograph released within the past three years form an essential part of the journal. The editorial team especially encourages students to submit revised versions of term papers, conference presentations or thesis chapters.
