Lens on outdoor learningVolume 1, Issue 11
Featured Book: Lens on Outdoor Learning
by Wendy Banning and Ginny Sullivan

Can outdoor education for children between three and five thrive in a standards-based early learning landscape? Most definitely! The authors show how outdoor experiences foster curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, resilience, and other widely recognized hallmarks of successful preschool programs. This well-researched guide is filled with tangible examples of children's measurable development from learning outside. With such benefits to offer, it's no wonder UW Botanic Gardens' Fiddleheads Forest School at the Arboretum is so popular!
