She will describe where these plants can be purchased, how to grow them from seed, and how to utilize self-seeding natives. She'll also discuss maintenance techniques. Linda Cochran is a long-time PNW gardener who has focused extensively on native plants over the last 10-15 years.  Recording will be available for 4 weeks. Gravel gardens require little water, no fertilizer or other chemicals, no organic mulches & require less time & money to maintain. This garden system utilizes drought tolerant perennials, most of which are natives that support native fauna. Jeff Epping holds a bachelor’s & master’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture. He started Epping Design & Consulting in 2009 & recently retired after 28 years serving as Director of Horticulture at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin.
