Cost: $10, register by phone or email (limited to 15 participants). A local mecca of plant diversity, with many rare species planted by Gil Schieber & Seattle Tilth gardeners. This tour will include both wild (weedy) & planted species of trees, shrubs, vines, perennials & annuals. We will pay particular attention to which plants suffered --or thrived-- in late June's extra heat. The Tilth garden & adjacent P-Patch will be full of luxurious produce to admire. Led by Arthur Lee Jacobson, a renowned local expert on trees. More information: www.arthurleej.com/tours18.html, alj@consultant.com or 206-328-8733. Meet at the east (main) entrance of the Good Shepherd Center (4649 Sunnyside Ave N).
