Harold Hume, which he describes as \u201cprobably the most comprehensive and finely illustrated volume on this important group of decorative shrubs which has ever appeared.\u201d\u00a0 The Miller Library now has the revised, 1955 edition \u2013 a gift from the author.<\/p>\n
Mulligan\u2019s greatest praise is for the section on the nomenclature and identification as he knew this would be especially valuable for updating records on the Arboretum\u2019s collection.\u00a0 He had very few concerns about the book, the greatest being the price that \u201cwill certainly restrict its sale.\u201d\u00a0 How much?\u00a0 $25.50, or about $360 in today\u2019s value!<\/p>\n
