Do I dare plant it? What do I need to be wary of?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Campsis radicans<\/em> is certainly aggressive and potentially invasive in some areas, but to<br \/>\nwhat degree depends on where you live. It is <a href=\"https:\/\/plants.usda.gov\/DocumentLibrary\/plantguide\/pdf\/pg_cara2.pdf\">listed as a weed<\/a> in the<br \/>\nNortheast, the South, and Kentucky. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.missouribotanicalgarden.org\/PlantFinder\/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?taxonid=277901\">The Missouri Botanical Garden<\/a> has another profile of this plant.<\/p>\n<p>I have seen it growing here in Seattle, and it seems to do well but<br \/>\nperhaps not <em>so<\/em> well that it is a major concern in this area. Since it<br \/>\nspreads by runners and seeds, keep it trimmed and do not let the flowers<br \/>\ngo to seed.
