I was wondering if you knew anyone who has tried growing it in the PNW (esp. Whidbey Island) and what they thought of its performance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the <i>Sunset Western Garden Book<\/i>, buffalo grass is best suited to Sunset zones 1-3, 10, and 11. Whidbey Island is Sunset zone 5. While the Sunset book does not address &#8216;Legacy&#8217; in particular, you may find that this grass is not the best choice for your location.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington State Extension in Puyallup created a <a href=\"https:\/\/puyallup.wsu.edu\/turf\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/412\/2015\/04\/06cultivars_WWA.pdf\">ranked list of good turf cultivars<\/a> for Western Washington.<\/p>\n<p>Additional information, from the Extension, about <a href=\"http:\/\/gardening.wsu.edu\/lawns\/\">lawns<\/a>.
