Some will tolerate a partly sunny site as long as the soil does not dry out.<\/p>\n<p><em>Epimedium perralderianum<\/em> has bronze leaves that turn green and last throughout the year. It blooms in March\/April.<\/p>\n<p><em>Epimedium<\/em> x <em>rubrum<\/em> prefers shade, so if your site is partly sunny, this might not be the ideal choice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.collectorsnursery.com\/\">Collectors Nursery<\/a> in Battleground, WA, also carries several varieties.<\/p>\n<p>One gardening website, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240127155137\/http:\/\/www.paghat.com\/epimedium.html\">Paghat&#8217;s Garden,<\/a> has especially good information.<br \/>The site developer recommends in particular the following varieties:<br \/><em>Epimedium<\/em> x <em>versicolor<\/em> &#8216;Sulphureum&#8217;, or Yellow Epimedium &#8211; for its evergreen foliage<br \/><em>Epimedium grandiflorum<\/em> &#8216;Lilafee&#8217; &#8211; for quite striking lavender flowers and evergreen foliage<\/p>\n<p>Richie Steffen, curator of the Elisabeth C.
