Each year, the University of Washington recognizes 100 undergraduate and graduate students who actively connect what happens inside and outside of the classroom and apply what they learn to make a difference on campus, in their communities and for the future.

The selection process this year was highly competitive, as the UW received more than 1,800 nominations and more than 600 applications from all three UW campuses. We at HPRC are proud to have two students selected who work with us on research projects. Meagan Brown (in photo, at left) a PhD student in Health Services, joined HPRC in 2016 and has worked on various workplace wellness teams and projects. Marissa Jackson (in photo, at right), studying for her MPH in Health Services, started at HPRC this January and is working on our cancer prevention research team. Congratulations to both of these outstanding students for their well-deserved recognition!
